Service – Get To My PC allows NHS staff to access and update patient records from their own home or when on the move while on a home visit or at a nursing home. It uses secure, modern technology that Avon IM&T Consortium (AIMTC) NHS Information Governance has assessed as meeting required standards for remote access.

Mobility
· NHS staff can use wireless or mobile broadband to access their clinical system whilst away from the surgery.
· Get To My PC enables NHS staff to view and update any of their patients' records at any time, night or day. This technology means that patient information need never leave the surgery whilst providing secure and instant access to NHS staff wherever they are.
Accessibility
· Get To My PC works with all major clinical systems. You access it through a secure web site at www.gettomypc.co.uk using Internet banking-style security.
· It allows you to read and send email (including NHS Mail), gives you secure Internet access, and you can work with any software that is on your surgery desktop PC or server.
· This allows you easy access to QOF and QMAS data, practice finance and account management, and INR and other test results.
Flexibility
· Get To My PC gives you access to up-to-the-minute electronic patient records, without requiring record download before you leave the surgery or synchronisation when you return. This can prepare NHS staff for both planned and unexpected consultations, such as can occur during school and nursing home visits where unplanned patient consultations are extremely common.
