GP Care launches new Arrhythmia Diagnostic Service for NHS Patients

GP Care is pleased to announce that it has won an NHS contract for the provision of a Community Arrhythmia Diagnostic Service to patients in South Gloucestershire, supplying the area with its first CCG commissioned service.

The Service, which commenced today, 1 March 2012, uses the latest technology in arrhythmia monitoring in the form of ECG Watches. The ECG Watches enable patients to capture traces of any episodes of abnormal rhythm, rather than spending time in hospital. Traces are then uploaded and reports generated to support diagnosis.

Patients are allocated timed appointments at one of three clinic locations across South Gloucestershire (Yate, Almondsbury, Downend) during which watches are fitted and instruction given.

We look forward to continue working closely with South Gloucestershire PCT and the CCG on this and other projects in the future.
