GP Care sponsors Bristol to Bulgaria cycle ride

GP Care is delighted to sponsor Dr Mark Corcoran on his forthcoming 2000 mile cycle ride from Bristol to the Bulgarian capital, Sofia. Accompanied by Richard Taylor, a Bristol based Chartered Surveyor, Dr Corcoran is aiming to raise £40,000 in support of The Bulgarian Partners Trust.

Bulgaria is the poorest country in the EU with much of the population lacking access to basic healthcare. The funds raised from this ambitious journey will support the completion of a medical centre within a new multipurpose building that acts as a social outreach hub for the underprivileged communities of Sofia. The project is being overseen locally by Sofia Baptist Church.

We wish Mark and Richard the best of luck for their journey!

  • Dr Mark Corcoran is a GP at Christchurch Medical Centre in Downend, Bristol, and is the chairman of Avon LMC.
