GP Care’s Community Hand Surgery Service is operational and accepting referrals via MATS
GP Care’s Community Hand Surgery Service is now fully operational with the time between referral and treatment being as little as two weeks, with patients being seen by NHS consultant plastic surgeons in a brand new private surgical clinic in central Bristol. All patients receive a Discharge Summary on completion of the pathway with a copy being sent to their GP within 24 hours.
The service is available to NHS Bristol patients with: Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Dupuytren’s Contracture, Trigger Finger and Ganglion (Exceptional Funding required).
To access the GP Care Hand Surgery Service GPs should refer patients to MATS via Choose and Book or by fax.
Early patient feedback is excellent; an example being:
“It was the best service I have ever had. You are all lovely people. I had first class and unbelievable treatment from reception through to theatre, and it was so nice how they put my fears at rest, and I hope I can have my other hand done there as well.”
