New Urology clinic in Gloucestershire

We are delighted to announce that due to increased referrals to the NHS Community Urology service in Gloucestershire, we are now able to open a new clinic location at Tewkesbury Hospital.  This monthly clinic will start on Tuesday 26th April and will be in addition to the clinics we already deliver at the Aspen Centre.

Our service offers a considerably shorter waiting time of just 2 – 3 weeks.  By offering another location we are pleased to be giving patients further choice.  Other benefits of the service are:

  • The patient has a 20 minute appointment with any necessary tests including cystoscopy being carried out in this one appointment;
  • The referring GP will receive a copy of the report within 2 working days;
  • Alleviating pressure on the local hospitals.

Patients with a wide range of common urological conditions can be referred to the service but our main exclusions are 2 week waits, patients under 18 years old, kidney stones, andrology and house bound patients or patients unable to transfer independently as hoisting equipment is not available.

For more information or to give feedback about the service, please contact the Service Lead, Heidi Loader at heidi.loader@gpcare.org.uk.
