GP Care launches new Pulmonary Embolism Service

GP Care is pleased to announce the launch of a new community based service for NHS patients who require anticoagulation following a Pulmonary Embolism.

Following stabilisation in hospital patients will be able to attend one of a number of specialist community based anticoagulation clinics, generally provided within GP health centres. Clinic locations have been selected in order to provide good access and parking for patients who are generally required to attend on a daily basis for some period of time.

This Pulmonary Embolism Service will sit alongside GP Care's existing DVT service which has proved to be highly successful in both radically improving the patient experience and delivering cost savings to the NHS.
