Physiotherapy clinics seeing significant increase in patient volumes

GP Care's physiotherapy clinics in Kingswood and Westbury on Trym are now fully operational and patient volumes are increasing quickly.

Roger Tweedale, GP Care Chief Executive commented that "there is a real need for fast access community physiotherapy clinics for patients who find it difficult getting to, and parking at, hospitals which are already overcrowded. In a small number of areas NHS commissioners have recognised that community delivery of physiotherapy is a significant advance for patients and have commissioned such services. In other areas however the only alternative for patients to access such a service is to go private - so GP Care has put together a team of highly experienced Chartered Physiotherapists to deliver a private Community Physiotherapy Service in the hope that it will at some stage become accessible to NHS patients on a free of charge basis."

Feedback from the service has been excellent...

"Danny was excellent.  The assessment was thorough, he explained my problem in simple English, and left enough time for some physical treatment too.  I have plenty of exercises to continue at home and look forward to seeing him again in a few weeks."

"What a brilliant physio service!! £30 well spent!"

"I think the physiotherapy service is fantastic and great value for money, I’m already noticing how much my back has improved!  The physiotherapist is very friendly, professional and knowledgeable.  I found it very helpful when he explained what the treatment would entail and how it would help."
