GP Care is pleased to announce the launch of a new Pregnancy Reassurance Ultrasound Service for private patients.
The service is available to patients who are between 7 and 14 weeks pregnant and are seeking reassurance as a result of general concerns or previous complications such as miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy or problem in pregnancy.
Anxiety in pregnancy
Pregnancy is a very stressful and anxious time for a woman and her partner. Studies have shown that foetal health anxiety is relieved by ultrasound, particularly when women are able to see the image of their baby and receive encouraging verbal feedback from the sonographer.
How does the GP Care service work?
The GP Care Service is available to women who are between 7 and 14 weeks pregnant. The Service is available at Christchurch Medical Centre in Downend, West Walk Surgery in Yate and Almondsbury Surgery and will be extended to locations in Bristol and North Somerset in due course. An ultrasound scan will take 15 minutes and will be carried out in bright, modern and pleasant surroundings. The cost per scan is £75 per patient which is a highly competitive price.
