GP Care is awarded another new contract with NHS Bristol to deliver a Community Urology Service

GP Care is pleased to announce that it has been awarded another significant new contract with NHS Bristol – to deliver a Community Urology Service for NHS patients living in the Inner City & East (“ICE”) and West areas of Bristol. The Service is being delivered in partnership with University Hospitals Bristol Foundation Trust, North Bristol Trust and Bristol Community Health.

The Service provides a remote triage followed by a one stop consultation typically comprising a 30 minute appointment with a urology specialist at one of 3 locations – Clifton, Montpelier or Fishponds. The appointment includes a consultation and diagnostic tests using state of the art mobile equipment before concluding with the patient being presented with a discharge report in their hands and a copy being faxed to the referring GP that same day. This is a model that GP Care has been operating for over 2 years for NHS South Gloucestershire and which has been well received by GPs and patients alike.
