There is a significant requirement for ultrasound services in the prison and by providing on-site ultrasound services, GP Care will provide a high quality and highly accessible service at a reduced cost to the PCT. The service will be run by a team of specialist ultrasonographers and represents the first contract for GP Care's Imaging Services team. GP Care hopes to be able to offer a wider community based ultrasound service to the 740,000 patients within South Gloucestershire, Bristol and North Somerset PCTs shortly. Community Ultrasound Services
From 2 June 2008 GP Care will be delivering ultrasound services to Eastwood Park Prison, South Gloucestershire using new, high quality, mobile imaging equipment.
