Private Patients

In a small number of specialty areas GP Care provides services for patients on a private basis where care is not provided on the NHS or where we are able to offer it in a signficantly more convenient manner - fast, accessible, efficient and affordable.

GP Care currently provides the following services to private patients:

General Services

• Surgical Removal of Skin Lesions - including the removal of moles, warts, lipomas, cysts and skin tags by qualified medical practitioners at GP Care clinics across Bristol and South Gloucestershire at a price of £350. Call 0845 468 2101 for further information or to make a booking.
• Private Hand Surgery - surgical treatment of patients with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Dupuytren's Contracture, Trigger Finger or Ganglia. This service is provided by NHS registered consultant surgeons at a specialist clinic with brand new and high specification operating suite in central Bristol. • Osteoporosis Diagnosis and Screening - private screening service for the early detection of osteoporosis. The service is offered from a specialist clinic by expert clinicians using state of the art equipment at a price of £75 per scan. Call 0845 468 2103 for further information or to make a booking. 
• Flu Vaccinations - a seasonal and swine flu vaccination service that will be taking bookings from 17 September 2012. Call 0845 468 2104 for appointments at one of our many flu clinics across the wider Bristol area. The cost for a flu vaccination is £20.

• Pregnancy Reassurance Scans - private ultrasound service to provide reassurance to patients from 7 weeks gestation and who are anxious about their pregnancy. This service is priced at £70. Call 0845 468 2102 for further information or to make a booking.
• Ovarian Cancer Screening - private ultrasound service for patients on a self referral or GP referral basis provided from a number of clinics across the wider Bristol area at a cost of only £70. Call 0845 468 2102 for further information or to make a booking
• Private Pelvic Ultrasound Service - private ultrasound service for the assessment of the pelvic organs in patients who may be experiencing heavy bleeding or pain. This service is available at various locations around Bristol for £70. Call 0845 468 2102 for further information or to make a booking.
• Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Scans - private ultrasound service for the assessment of the musculo-skeletal conditions. This service is available at various locations around Bristol for £170. Call 0845 468 2102 for further information or to make a booking.
• Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening - private ultrasound service to find out if an individual has an abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) and assess the risk of it rupturing at a price of £70. An aortic aneurysm is an abnormal enlargement of the main artery which transports blood from the heart and is a condition which can be hereditary.
