GP Care offers a service for surgical mole removal and removal of other skin lesions at eight clinics in the Bristol area. Mole removal is not available on the NHS but patients can choose to pay for treatment if moles (naevi) are catching on clothing, awkward when shaving or affecting them in other ways.
Consultation and treatment is offered in one short appointment at a cost of £250.
Appointments are held at GP surgeries in Bedminster, Hanham, Henleaze, Little Stoke, Nailsea, St George, Westbury-on-Trym and Yate. Our minor surgery clinicians are GPs who are experienced in recognising skin lesions and in removing them surgically.
Minor skin surgery and mole removal is performed under local anaesthetic. In accordance with nationally recognised guidelines some excised moles will be sent to a histology department to be checked and additional costs may apply in these cases.
