Urology Service now available to South Bristol patients

We are delighted to announce that from Monday 1st July, we will be expanding our Community Urology Service to South Bristol.  We have been delivering this service in Bristol Inner City & East, North & West, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset for over 10 years offering patients “one stop” assessment and diagnostic appointments within community clinic locations.  We are able to accept referrals for a wide range of common urological conditions including:

  • Haematuria
  • Recurrent Urinary Tract Infections
  • Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms
  • Prostate conditions
  • Penile Disorders
  • Testicular lumps & pain

We provide the following tests and procedures:

  • Flow test & bladder scan
  • Flexible cystoscopy
  • Urinalysis
  • Prostate Biopsies
  • Ultrasound of bladder, kidneys and testes
  • General consultations

Once we receive the referral, we will clinically triage all referrals and patients appropriate for the service will benefit from short waiting times of 2-3 weeks, being offered an appointment within the community with free parking; attending a 20 minute appointment with any necessary tests, including cystoscopy, being carried out in this one appointment plus knowing their GP will receive a report within 24 hours.

We are unable to accept referrals for:

  • Patients aged under 18 years old
  • Kidney Stones
  • Andrology
  • 2 Week Waits
  • House bound patients or patients unable to transfer independently as hoisting equipment is not available within GP practice locations.
